Madhavi Peters, Esq.

Madhavi Peters is a Bangalore-based lawyer, writer and founder of The Tropicalist, a non-profit platform for sustainable development initiatives in South and Southeast Asia. Raised in Indonesia and India, she did her higher education in North America. She graduated with honours in Asian Studies from William Smith College and then went on to obtain an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She is a member of the New York bar and has worked in law and media in Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi and Tokyo. She speaks Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Hindi, Tamil and French with varying degrees of fluency.
